Mrs. Gough's classes are competing against each other in a March Madness theme "Reading Shootout." For every 10 minutes they read each night they get 3 points. Bonus points can be earned on weekends. If they reach at least 45 points they get a free day of ELA. The top 2 finishers will also get donuts. This madness continues through spring break, at their request! Wow, has this competition inspired more reading at home!

Miss Marshall’s class had a fun week celebrating Read Across America week! We read lots of silly Dr. Seuss books, made crazy hats, dressed like Mr. Mooney, and wore our crazy socks.

After learning about our state and country Miss Nieuwkoop’s class and Miss Marshall’s class participated in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

Update from Dr. Hellrigel:
Hello Raiders,
The sirens have stopped and students are being released and buses are being loaded thank you for your patience and understanding as we take pride in keeping our students safe.
Have a good evening!

From Dr. Hellrigel:
Hello Raiders -
Out of abundance and precaution we have unloaded buses and have instructed our teachers and students to take shelter in our buildings until the tornado sirens stop going off in Green Valley. Our budlings are reinforced concrete and steel and the safest place for students to be at the moment. I will put out an all call when we've cleared the buses for home transport.
Thank you,
Todd Hellrigel
