Each day, our Kindergarten students watch a short video as part of the Heggerty Phonics Program, led by the beloved Mrs. Bottari. Throughout the school year, students have built a strong connection with her as she helps them grow their phonics skills in fun and engaging ways.
Today was an extra special day—our students had the incredible opportunity to meet Mrs. Bottari live via Zoom! She read a wonderful story and spent time answering questions from the students. The excitement and joy on their faces said it all—it was a memorable and meaningful experience they won’t soon forget!

Happy Easter!

Thanks to the Illinois Ag in the Classroom book grant from the IAA Foundation, Mrs. Stout’s class had the joy of reading one of the books given, Just Ask! by Sonia Sotomayor.
Inspired by the story’s message of embracing our differences, each student created a unique flower that represents themselves to add to our classroom garden. We had such fun learning that just like flowers, we’re all special and unique in our own way.
A big thank you to the IAA Foundation for helping us plant the seeds of kindness, understanding, and self-love!
