Our kindergarten class had an exciting field trip to the Bartonville National Airbase! The students learned all about cargo planes—how they work, what they carry, and why they’re so important.
We were in for a huge surprise when an F-16 jet flew into the base while we were there! The kids, teachers, and parents were thrilled to see it up close. A big thank you to the amazing staff at the airbase for such an unforgettable experience! 🇺🇸🚀

Last Friday, all the first-grade classes got to listen to Mrs. Herrin teach about bees. We learned about the life cycle, care, and threats honeybees face daily. She brought some equipment used to take care of bees at their farm. She also brought in a honeycomb to see a bee in the pupa stage of growth (close to turning into an adult bee)! At the end, students got to try a spoonful of honey to celebrate. Thank you, Mrs. Herrin!

Not all heroes wear capes... some wear aprons! Happy School Lunch Hero Day!!
