The Lady Raiders improved their season record to 5-1 after a 20-2 win vs. Illini Central on Monday and defeating Bloomington on Tuesday. Midwest Central Lady Raiders won big over BJHS Knights 16-1 on Tuesday. The Raiders jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Katie doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs. Midwest Central Lady Raiders scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the third inning. An error scored one run, Julia singled, scoring one run, Ava hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored, Grace doubled, scoring one run, Katie drew a walk, scoring one run, and Mckenzie doubled, scoring one run. Midwest Central Lady Raiders secured the win after scoring five runs on one hit in the top of the fifth inning. Emma singled, scoring one run, a wild pitch scored one run, Alyssa drew a walk, scoring one run, a wild pitch scored one run, and Alyssa scored after tagging up. Sophia began the game for Midwest Central Lady Raiders. The starting pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking one. Grace threw relief, surrendering zero hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking two. Julia and Mckenzie each collected two hits for Midwest Central Lady Raiders. Ava seized on her opportunities, leading Midwest Central Lady Raiders with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup.

12 batters up and 12 batters down for the now 3-1 Raiders Baseball team behind a combined PERFECT GAME by Jase Canada and Max Dierker as Midwest Central defeated the South Pekin Tornadoes on Tuesday night 12-0! Canada was dominant on the mound, tossing 3.1 perfect innings with 9 punchouts, and Dierker then came in and struck one out over his perfect 2/3 of an inning! Dierker was also one of the big Raiders hitters Tuesday night, going 2-2 with a triple and 2 RBI. 9 other Raiders hitters reached base in the total team effort with Canada, Joe Proehl, Zayne Arthalony and Jaxon Tumilty all picking up 2 hits apiece. The Raiders have now won 2 in a row and sit at 3-1 on the young season with their next matchup on Thursday in a big home matchup with the Delavan Panthers. Come out and support the Raiders!

The Raiders baseball pitching staff was dominant Monday afternoon, firing TWO no hitters in a sweep of the Illini Central Cougars 16-0 and 15 -2! In game 1 Joe Proehl pitched the no-hitter for the Raiders, firing a complete game, 48 pitch shutout with 10 strikeouts and no walks! Offensively, the Raiders pounded out 9 hits with 8 different batters picking up hits. Zayne Arthalony was 2-3 at the dish and Jase Canada (one double) and Jake Balster both picked up 3 RBI a piece! Game 2 brought some more great pitching, with Eli Tumilty firing 2 no hit innings and Jaxson Robinson finished off the no hitter with one inning and 2 strikeouts! Tumilty picked up the win striking out 4. At the plate the Raiders picked up 11 hits, with 8 different batters getting hits. Jake Hunter was the big hitter in game 2, going 3 - 3 with 2 RBI. Johnny McFarland was also 2 - 3 with 2 RBI and Jesse Jones ripped a second inning double for the victors! At 2 - 1 the Raiders look to keep it going Tuesday with a home matchup at home vs South Pekin!

On Friday, what started as a rainy, dreary, day ended with some offensive sunshine as the Raiders baseball team downed Georgetowne Marquette Heights 11-1! The Raiders scored in every inning with 7 different Raiders picking up hits in the 5 inning victory! 11 hits were pounded out on the afternoon with Joe , Zayne, Jake and Colten all picking up two hits apiece. Zayne picked up a double and a triple in his 3 trips to the plate while Jake drove a double and bopped a BIG homerun for the Raiders! Zayne and Jake also picked up multiple RBIs! The team also got great pitching and error free defense as opening day starter Zayne kicked off the season with 4 straight Ks before giving way to Joe , who picked up the win firing 3.1 innings of 3 hit ball with 3 strike outs and Jaxon came in to close the door in the 5th for the Raiders with a strikeout! WTG Raiders!

Midwest Central Lady Raiders were victorious against Canton on Thursday, 12-2. Midwest Central Lady Raiders got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Nevaeh and Maddie walked, each scoring one run. A single by Katie extended the Midwest Central Lady Raiders lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the second inning. A walk by Grace, and a double by Katie helped the Raiders extend their early lead in the third. Katie and Mia were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Midwest Central Lady Raiders. Mckenzie drove the middle of the lineup, leading Midwest Central Lady Raiders with three runs batted in. Ava and Maddie led the team with three bases on balls each. Sophia began the game for Midwest Central Lady Raiders. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Grace finished the game, allowing zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one.

The Raiders jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Mia hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, an error scored one run, another error scored two runs, and Alyssa drew a walk, scoring one run. An error, and a single by Maddie helped Midwest Central extend their early lead in the second. Midwest Central Lady Raiders scored seven runs in the bottom of the third inning. Mia, Katie, and Alyssa each had a single in the third. Ava stepped in the circle first for Midwest Central Lady Raiders. She surrendered zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one. Sophia tossed two innings of no-run ball for the Raiders in relief. She gave up zero hits, striking out six and walking one.
