The Raiders baseball team made some history on 8th grade night, tossing their second PERFECT GAME of the season defeating the Hartem Stags 13-0! Jase Canada (W) and Joe Proehl combined for 6 Ks in the run rule victory! The 8th graders were great Wednesday, with 8th graders Jaxson Robinson and Zayne Arthalony doubling and 8th graders Jake Balster and Jesse Jones ripping RBI singles for the victors! 8th grader Max Dierker also was 1-2 with a walk and 2 runs scored! With the win the Raiders move to 8-5 with a B matchup at Lexington on Thursday!

The MCMS cross country team continues to post faster times as the season rolls on: Isabelle Friedrich and Nora Dierker ran close to a 16:15 two mile, while Jaina Butler ran the distance in 16 minutes flat. Sam Dierker ran a very respectable 15:15 and Connor Coile fought hard to post a 14:45 two mile time. Great job Raiders!! Catch several members of the team running the Popcorn Festival 5K this weekend!

Then boys baseball team moved to 7-4 on the season with a big 4-0 shutout of Dee-Mack Thursday night! Zayne Arthalony continued the Raiders strong pitching performances this season with a gem of his own. The 8th grade right hander tossed a complete game scattering only 3 hits and striking out 10! The defense flashed some leather behind Arthalony as well, committing no errors on the afternoon with a couple web gems by Joe Proehl and Jaxon Tumilty on the infield! Offensively the Raiders only had 5 hits but they made them count with a big 3rd inning behind a double by Proehl, a triple by Arthalony and a couple big RBIs by Tumilty and Colten Watts! The Raiders next games come against Norwood and Hollis on the road early next week.
