The Lady Raiders had all cylinders firing on offense on Tuesday, winning big over New Berlin 9-2.
The Raiders took an early lead in the first inning when Izzy laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.
They took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning when Lexi singled, scoring one run and Faith singled, scoring two runs.
Izzy got the start for the Lady Raiders. The ace surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings, striking out ten and walking one.
The Raiders saw the ball well, racking up 15 hits in the game. Faith, Karsyn, Taylor, Alexis, and Lexi all had multiple hits for team. Karsyn and Faith each collected three hits to lead the Raiders.

Mrs DeSutter's Chemistry is learning about acids and bases. They are performing a titration lab to determine the molarity of an unknown acid from a known concentration of a base!!!! Precision is the key!

The HS BB game at Peoria Christian has been cancelled due to the forecasted weather.


Pitching and defense were the name of the game for the Raiders baseball team Thursday night, defeating Peoria Norte Dame 4-2! Rylan Nowack picked up the win in his season debut on the bump, allowing one earned run while scattering 5 hits and 3 walks over his 6 innings of work and Collin Parkin picked up his first save of the season. The Raiders defense was terrific all night, turning a big double play in the 5th inning and committing only one error on the afternoon!
The Raiders are back at it again Friday night for a varsity matchup against Peoria Christian.


Last Friday, students in Mrs. Picken’s English 3 classes took a field trip to Dickson Mounds Museum in Lewistown. Earlier in the semester, the students studied Native American literature, and they also learned about the museum that we have in our neighboring Fulton County. We were led by the museum’s Curator of Anthropology, Logan Pappenfort, who had the students do a research/excavation activity with artifacts and draw conclusions about those artifacts and the people who used them.

Seniors and parents/guardians - We are excited to announce a partnership with the American Legion Hill-Palmer Post #561 for a new scholarship called "Life Scholarship." The American Legion will be giving out two $500 scholarships to deserving candidates. Applicants must be graduating in May and have ANY plans after high school to qualify.

All seniors qualify! The biggest component is a letter explaining what PATRIOTISM means to the applicant, and how he/she plan on showing patriotism in our small community. SO EXCITING!!!! FREE MONEY!!!!


We are super proud of our Raider Logan! He has signed to play baseball at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri as a freshman in the fall. He plans to study business the first two years. He has been an active student at MCHS; he has played baseball and basketball all four years! We are super proud to see him continue his academic and athletic goals at MSSU after high school! Join us as we celebrate his admissions and baseball scholarship!! Way to go Logan!!


Mr. Clark's Consumers class had the pleasure of having guest speaker Nate Turner from Country Financial talk to them about life insurance.
Topics focused on Term and Whole life and how each work.

Austin W. Kammeyer, a senior at Midwest Central High School, has been selected by the faculty and staff as Student of the Month in Agriculture. Austin is the son of Scott and Jamie Kammeyer of Manito.
Austin is involved with FFA, Basketball and Baseball. He is also on the FFA Officer Team. After Graduation, Austin is going to attend ICC for two years to study Agronomy. Later, he plans to work on the family farm. Austin personally thanks his Ag Advisors over the past 4 years and the Midwest Central School District for selecting him for this program.
