Hot Bats on a Chilly Day: Raiders Sizzle Past Bushnell-PC
Don’t let the damp skies and chilly breeze fool you—the Raiders came out red hot Friday afternoon, torching Bushnell-Prairie City 13-3 in a six-inning, run-rule victory that was as complete as it was convincing.
It was a full-team clinic at the plate as all nine Raiders in the lineup recorded hits, turning the game into an offensive showcase. Ryan Terrill wasted no time setting the tone, roping a leadoff triple that immediately put B-PC on its heels.
The middle of the order did plenty of damage from there, with Rex Watts, Collin Price, and Calvin Young all racking up multiple hits. Price, along with teammates Zayne Hill and Dalton Johnson, also delivered singles with runners in scoring position, each tallying multiple RBIs to keep the scoreboard operator busy.
Johnson wasn’t just getting it done with the bat—he took care of business on the mound as well. The right-hander went the distance, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out four. He got help from a sharp Raiders defense that made the routine plays and a few that weren’t.
With the win, the Raiders look to keep it going this Monday against LVC at home.

MCHS is excited to continue our partnership with Chestnut Health in Bloomington. Their prevention coordinators, Grace and Collin, are always looking at ways to support our students and community. The organization has been super supportive of Mrs. Harbourn’s school counseling projects. They have funded therapeutic workbooks, mental health supports for youth athletes, vision board kits, and now mental health survival bookbags. They dropped off 50 book bags filled with items that encourage self-care. If you need a book bag, please contact Mrs. Harbourn.
