Happy Labor Day! We hope our Raiders weekend was filled with celebration, relaxation, and a shared sense of gratitude for those who hustle hard every day.
The Lady Raiders travelled to Bushnell Thursday night and brought back wins. The varsity team took the match in 2 sets; (25-13) (25-13). Joslyn had an impressive 9 aces to start out the matches. The team had 15 kills from the front row. The back row was nearly perfect in reception. The whole team worked together to bring home their first win of the season. JV was able to rally and pull off a match win in 2 sets; (28-26) (25-11).
The ladies play Dee Mack at home on Tuesday at 6:00 PM.
Reminder - There is no school on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.

2023-24 Yearbooks are in!
2024 graduates can stop by the high school office starting on Monday, August 26th to pick-up their book.
Currently enrolled students will receive their yearbooks during the lunch period on Friday, August 23rd.
If you did not pre-order, but would like a book, we have a few extras. The cost is $60, cash or check. Make checks payable to Midwest Central High School. First come first serve!
Edit to add on 8/22 - Thanks to a donation by Proehl Farms, all students are FREE.
MCHS Students - Everyone is invited to the Back to School Bash this Friday from 5:30-7:30 PM. Admission is FREE.
Come and have fun playing an assortment of games like water balloon volleyball, bags, hillbilly golf, and a donut eating contest just to name a few!
If you ordered a yearbook last year, you can get yours at the bash!

Any Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior interested in being on Student Council may apply for the Student At-Large positions. Applications are on the bulletin board in the horseshoe hallway, or on the door of Room 10. All applications are due back to Miss Sauder (Room 10) by Friday August 30.

The Lady Raiders HS Volleyball Team is selling Casey’s pizza cards for a fundraiser this year. The card is $20. You get a free medium pizza each time you order a large specialty pizza. You can use the card 10 times. The cards are good at all Casey’s locations.
You can get a card from any volleyball player or when you are cheering on your favorite team at their first game - Our home opener is Tuesday, August 27th vs. Tremont!

Don’t let student transportation be frustrating for you or your students. Our goal is to provide you the best possible experience with getting your student to and from school.
Here are some helpful hints that will make your students transportation experience more successful.
• Mornings are rough and sometimes things don’t go as planned. If you need to make a change to your students busing in the morning, please call the Bus Barn at 309.968.3020.
• Please do not call, text, or message a driver or monitor as they don’t always look at their phones and may inadvertently miss an important message.
• Need to make an after school transportation change during the day? Changes can be made before 1:00 PM by calling the Bus Barn or school offices.
