The cast of “The Drowsy Chaperone” has been busy this week learning choreography for the fall musical! The show will be performed on October 24-26 at 7:30 PM at the Forman Center. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Today, the seniors in Consumer’s Management class participated in mock interviews with community leaders. Students were able to gain valuable feedback on their interview skills, helping them prepare for post-graduation opportunities.

The Midwest Central HS Cross Country team hosted a 4 team meet on Thursday September 19th with Illini Bluffs, Peoria Christian, and Peoria Heights. Placing 3rd overall was Ayden Forbis with a time of 18:11. CJ Ballard and Dakota Piro finished in 12th and 13th place respectively with times of 24:38 and 24:48. The running Raiders next contest will be at home on Thursday September 26th against Lincoln, Athens, Riverton, and Illini Bluffs. This will also be Senior night to honor our senior athletes.
Hawa Fassa, a senior at Midwest Central High School, has been selected by the faculty and staff as the Student of the Month in the English department. Hawa is the daughter of Rochelle Farrington of Manito.
Throughout high school, Hawa has been involved in cheerleading, volleyball, track and field, FCCLA, FCA, Spanish club, History League, Student Council, Yearbook, and Interact club, and was the President of her class from freshman to Junior year.
After college, Hawa plans to attend ICC or even go as far as Iowa State and major in Criminology and minor in pre-law.
Hawa would like to personally thank Mrs. Picken, Mr. Hyde, and the rest of the Midwest Central faculty and staff for this opportunity.
The MC Raiders won 2 in tonight’s triangular with IC and Mt. Pulaski. They were led by Zach Highland’s one over 37. Way to go Raiders!
