This past weekend, Joe Proehl represented MCMS in the All-State Basketball Classic. He competed with over 200 other 8th graders in the two day event. Day one was filled with various skills competitions. Joe competed and placed 2nd overall in the Hot Shot competition.
Day two shifted to team play. Representing the North, Joe and his teammates did not disappoint. The team went a perfect 5-0 and were named the 2025 All-State Tournament Champions!
Congratulations Joe! Way to represent MCMS.
Today we would like to take a moment and celebrate our amazing MCMS Athletic Director! Mrs. Mattson does it all… teacher, coach, athletic director, and one of the biggest cheerleaders our student athletes have. She organizes games and tournaments, supports coaches and student athletes, fields all kinds of requests, and does it all with a smile.

Eighth graders were challenged to model the "slope-intercept" form of a linear equation in math today. Do you remember it??? If you said "y=mx+b," then you can thank your math teacher! They had a lot of fun learning kinesthetically. Who says math isn't fun??

Both the 7th & 8th grade teams won in 2 sets against the Illini Central Cougars AND we got to celebrate the accomplishments of the 8th grade volleyball team and 8th grade pep band members! We are so proud of all our Raiders and their many talents! #MCRaiderNation
