Owen K received the 8th Grade IESA Good Sportsmanship Award during the regional boys basketball games. The Middle School office baked cookies for him to show how proud they are for representing our school so well! Congratulations Owen!

The 6th grade boys' basketball team traveled to Athens last night as they played two games. The Raiders came out aggressive and focused from the very tip in each game. Cael Zaayenga came through in the clutch of one game hitting a game winning jump shot! Jase Canada and Jaxton Bolen combined for 29 points in the other game as the Raiders tough defense kept Athens at bay. Grayson Piro also took a pivotal charge in the game as well to give the Raiders the momentum.
The boys play again next Monday here at the Middle School as they take on the 5th grade team in the Raider Classic. We hope to see everyone there!
The Lady Raiders will travel to Illini Central for games tonight. There will be a “B” game starting at 5:00 PM; followed by a 7th grade game at 6:00 PM and then the 8th grade game.

The 6th grade boys basketball team had a tough battle against The Lab last night. The shorthanded Raiders fought all they could but unfortunately, The Lab came out on top. The boys look to get their revenge this Sunday in their Lab tournament at Pekin High School.
Students - There are sign up sheets outside Dr. Bowden’s room for anyone interested in going out for track. Students must have a current sports physical turned in to the school before the first day of practice.

It’s all PINK in Mrs. Appell’s team time for Valentine’s Day and Spirit Week.
The 7th grade girls’ volleyball team came out strong last night and defeated Greenview in two straight sets to improve their record to 13-3. The 8th grade team fought back after being down in both of their set to also get the W! Awesome job, teams!

All the volleyball teams got wins last night versus Hollis! Great job ladies! They will take on Greenview tonight with seventh grade starting at 5:30 and eighth grade to follow. The girls Will not be staying after school today and need to be back by 4:30 and ready to go at 4:45.
