Good Luck to the volleyball team traveling to compete against Olympia tonight! Game time is 5:00 PM. Go Raiders!

The Raiders brushed off a couple tough games after Christmas break with a clean sweep of Illini Central!
The 7th grade had a big game out of Jaxton Bolen and balanced scoring throughout to down the Cougars 45-32. Bolen stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. But he had a lot of help. 6 other Raiders entered the scoring column, with Remi Arthalony scoring 7 points, Grayson Piro contributing 8 points and Sam Dierker adding 6 points. Jase Canada was a moose on the boards pulling down 11. With the win the Raiders move to 17-2 on the season.
The 8th graders overcame a slow first half to come out on top 36-28 and pick up their 16th win of the season. Joe Proehl and Jake Hunter led the offensive charge, adding 10 points apiece, with Proehl also adding 7 rebounds and Hunter adding 2 as well. Jase Canada added 5 points and Breckin Guy added 6 points as he was an efficient 6 for 8 from the free throw line.
The Raiders look to keep their strong seasons going with a home matchup on Tuesday night vs PORTA at 5:30. Let’s pack the gym to celebrate our 8th graders for their 8th grade night as they continue to add to their historic Junior high careers!

The Raiders 7th grade team swept a pair of games Thursday night, overcoming a slow first half to cruise to a 45-25 victory over the Delavan Panthers to keep their undefeated season alive!
Leading by just 2 at halftime, the Raiders used a big third quarter from Remi Arthalony, who had all of his 7 points in the third quarter, to put the game out of reach. Jase Canada led the charge with 16 points, with Sam Dierker added 6 points and Jaxton Bolen adding 5 points for the undefeated Raiders.
Game 2 was all Midwest Central, with the Raiders crushing the Panthers 33-2! Cael Zaayenga and Grayson Piro led the charge with 8 points with 5 other Raiders reaching the scoring column in the team effort.

The 8th grade ELA finished a first person narrative essay and gingerbread project. Students had to pick person that represents them. The essay included traits, actions/likes, feelings/thoughts and a conclusion. Students created a gingerbread person that they wrote about in their essay! Great job, 8th graders!

The Raiders basketball teams ended their home slate of games this year just as they started it in the Tip Off Classic…with two more wins, this time versus Athens!
The Raiders used hot shooting to take down Athens, and the 7th grade boys overcame a 4th quarter deficit to squeak out a 34-31 win. Jase Canada had a huge fourth quarter, ending the game with 20 points (including 5-7 from downtown), 5 rebounds and 6 steals. The Raiders also got a huge game from Remi Arthalony, who added 10 points and a pair of assists, rebounds and steals to help keep their undefeated season alive at 15-0!
The 8th grade game didn’t have quite as much drama as the Raiders coasted to a 38-19 win. 9 different Raiders hit the scoring column, led by Joe Proehl’s 8 points and 9 rebounds. Noah Coffey, Colton Watts and Jake Hunter all finished with 6 points for the now 15-1 Raiders!
