The National Honor Society held the Senior Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday evening. We also awarded two students with a Red Cross Scholarship.
Our National Honor Society chapter bases its activities on serving the community. Coretta Scott King said it best, “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” We encourage each one of you to stay involved in the community you choose to live in. That is one sure way to make a difference in the world and the lives of others. It can lead to new opportunities that you never knew were possible. It will soften your heart and thicken your skin, since we all know working with the public is not always easy…but it is so worth it.
You are a group of people who are driven to succeed. Don’t lose that drive. Don’t shy away from the hard things. Overcome the obstacles and you will end up smarter and stronger than when you started. Strive to make a difference, to make your mark on the world.
Seniors, we wish you nothing but the best! Throughout your next journey, stay true to yourself and always remember the community of people who are rooting for your success! We are proud of you!
Thanks to all of you for your dedication to our chapter of the National Honor Society. Congratulations!

Mrs. Harbourn was able to take 10 students to Oehrlein School of Cosmetology. They were given a tour of the facility, met current teachers and students, learned about admissions, job placement, and much more!!!
We even ran into previous 2023 graduates who will finish the 1500 program in August!

Mrs. DeSutter's Physics class ended their study of bridges today by breaking their balsa wood bridges that they designed and built in class. It was a great way to study different bridge designs, trussing and bridge joints while incorporating tension and compression. This year the winning team was Collin and Rylan. Their bridge held 69 lbs (weighing in at 71.0 grams). Second place was Archer and Ty at 47 lbs (at 41.2g). Third place was Courtney and Logan at 42 lbs (at 41.1g). Fourth place went to Ayden, Josh F. and Josh S. with 42 lbs (at 51.1g). The record is 100 lbs set in 2013 by Kayla Schmidgall and Sam Woodward!
