Our eighth-grade girls brought home the 4th place trophy from the State Tournament this weekend, and we couldn’t be prouder!
After an incredible nearly-undefeated season built on selfless teamwork, these athletes faced off against the best competition in Class 2A—128 teams vying for glory. They advanced through the opening round with a dominant win against Kewanee Wethersfield, then fought with heart and determination through two tough losses to the state runner-up Morrisonville and Springfield Christian in a three-set battle.
This team epitomizes what it means to work together, lift each other up, and leave everything on the court. Every celebration, every rally, every tough moment—it was done as one unit.
From the regular season through Sectionals and into the Final Four at State, the Midwest Central Raiders 8th Grade Volleyball team made history and showed us what championship character looks like.
Congratulations, Raiders! You made us so proud. 💜
