National Honor Society is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, March 5, in the gym during school hours. Students ages 16 years and older can donate. Parental consent is required if you are under 18. There is a sign-up sheet on the office ledge. Let's "Spring into Saving Lives!"
Spanish Club will be taking a trip to East Peoria to try dinner the new Los Charros on Wednesday, February 25th. We'll also head to Palarte afterwards for dessert! Permission slips are on the Spanish Club bulletin board outside of Ms. Brodbeck's room.
On Saturday, the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team traveled to Elmwood to compete in the Masonic Bowl Sectional tournament. The varsity team placed 2nd overall by winning 6 out of their 7 matchups (with their only loss being Elmwood HS). Their last matchup was against Bushnell-Prairie City with the score tied up going into the final two questions. Abraham Busch came in with the final math question to give Midwest Central their final win of the day. A huge congratulations to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team!!
Students that want to help at the Rotary Sale on Saturday, March 7th for community service points, please sign up on the bulletin board outside room 18. We desperately need people to work an inside shift from 7:30 to 10:30am or a shift from 10:30 to 3:00pm or outside help from 10 to 3pm. IF YOU ARE AN INTERACT CLUB MEMBER IT IS REQUIRED THAT YOU WORK THE DIME TOSS OR THE ROTARY SALE! See Mrs. DeSutter with questions!
