Midwest Central Middle School, located in Green Valley, serves just under 200 6th through 8th grade students from the surrounding area. We have a team of dedicated teachers and staff members whose prime focus is doing what is best for the students while providing a supportive environment conducive to learning. Our objective is to prepare our students for success in high school and to encourage them to be the best Raider they can be by making a positive impact on the world around them.
MCMS is proud to be a PBIS school. This school-wide system of supporting positive behavior focuses on a team-based system approach and teaching appropriate behavior to all students in the school. Our students focus on walking the Raider PATH (Participate, Always Safe, Take Responsibility, Have Respect), which provides a safe, effective learning and working environment for everyone.
The teachers at MCMS work hard to maintain a rigorous curriculum that is aligned with the most recent standards and incorporates current best practices. Students are taught in a block-schedule format, which provides them with extended time with the classroom teacher, allowing for differentiation, extra support, and immediate feedback. Preparing our students to be successfully involved in the global community is imperative; therefore, each classroom at MCMS is equipped with ample personal devices so that each student can work independently toward their goals.
Students at MCMS are encouraged to broaden their experiences outside of the classroom and participate in the multiple extracurricular activities and programs that are offered. These include Band, Baseball, Basketball, Beta Club, Chorus, Scholastic Bowl, Softball, Student Council, and Volleyball.
