Midwest Central High School – CARY Program

Midwest Central High School has been selected to take part in a new grant funded program called Careers for America’s Rural Youth or CARY.  The CARY program is designed to give students the chance to explore a wide range of career options and to gain skills and knowledge that are vital to success in the workplace and in life.

Students who participate in the program will enroll in a daily careers class.  The class will cover a wide variety of topics including:

This program will include a great deal of “hands on learning” and practical experiences.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in field trips and see a variety of careers in action.  Community service and leadership opportunities will be a part of the curriculum and many students will be eligible to participate in a  summer work experience program.
