Congratulations to Cassie Mundekis for a Spectacular weekend at the state track meet Cassie finished 6th in the mile, 3rd in the High Jump, and 2nd in the 800 Way to Go Cassie.

Library will be open today 6th and 7th periods to collect books and Fines.

Attention Track members turn in uniforms and sweats tomorrow morning before school.  Meet Coach Fisher in the gym foyer.  She will have a prize for you.

April is National Poetry Month and the Middle School Library is celebrating with two poetry contests.  The first contest is for original works of poetry.  A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize will be given.  All students in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th are eligible to submit one original poem.  The deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 28.  There will be an envelope for submissions in the library.  The second contest involves reading 10 poems that are posted in the library and voting on them.  The poems and voting forms are in the library next to the Rebecca Caudill Book Case.

The incoming freshmen/parent orientation meeting is tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Midwest Central High School gym.  It is very important for incoming freshmen and at least one parent to attend this meeting.

The Forman Volunteer Firefighters and Forman Ambulance Service will be hosting a Mass Casualty Incident training on Saturday, April 16.  Information sheets are in the main office.

Any Scholastic Bowl members that are interested in ordering pictures from Watkins Photography need to return your order form to the main office by the end of the day.

This is just a reminder that permission slips for the Honor Roll Field Trip need to be turned in no later than next Tuesday, January 18!

Attention 8th graders!  You will be fitted for your graduation gowns tomorrow during TASK period.  A representative will be here to give you more information.  No money is needed at that time.

Attention 6th TASK students:  The library will be closed today during 6th hour until 1:30 so the 6th grade book club can meet.  Students wishing to return or check out books must wait until 1:30 to come into the library.

Our boys’ basketball team has a game here tonight against Tremont starting at 6:00 and the girls’ volleyball team has an away game against Havana starting at 6:00.  We’d like to wish both our Raider teams’ good luck!

Central Detention will be after school today with Mrs. Fisher in room 115.
